Established in 1988, the BOMA New York Scholarship Program provides financial assistance to students enrolled in BOMI educational programs. Who is Eligible You must be a BOMA New York Member on record, that is, a full dues paying member or become a member within one month of receiving a scholarship.
What the Scholarship Covers: Scholarships cover the cost of up to eight BOMI courses toward completing one BOMI designation. This includes all e-books, initial exam fees, and the BOMA New York processing fee. Courses may be taken as live-virtual classes with an instructor or as online self-paced courses. (Please note: Scholarship recipients must complete the full designation within three years of receiving the scholarship.)

BOMI or BOMA New York Late Fees
BOMI Exam Re-Take Fees
BOMI Course Transfer Fees
Additional Book Fees
Travel Expenses and Lodging
Selection Process: The Scholarship Committee determines each award based on the points addressed in the required essay, the completed application form, and the in-person interview. As part of the application process, candidates must attend an in-person interview with the Scholarship Committee at the BOMA New York office.
One-page essay titled “Why I should be considered for a scholarship.”
Must be typed, single-spaced, on one 8½ x 11 sheet of paper.
Should not exceed one page.
Candidates typically address career advancement and professional development.
Letter of recommendation from your current employer on company letterhead.
Include your supervisor’s business card, if possible.
In-person interview with the Scholarship Committee at the BOMA New York office.
