In 1970, BOMA established the Building Owners and Managers Institute (BOMI) to fill a perceived gap in property management education. Since then, BOMI has developed the well-respected Real Property Administrator (RPA), Facilities Management Administrator (FMA), Systems Maintenance Technician (SMT) and Systems Maintenance Administrator (SMA) programs, which have graduated thousands of career professionals over the years.
