COMMITTEES

One of the most valuable and exciting aspects of your BOMA New York membership is the chance to affect change in the Association – and the industry – by serving on one of our numerous committees. Members interested in joining a committee should reach out to the appropriate staff contact for the committee of interest included below.
All committee members must attend 2/3 of all committee meetings over the course of a year, or face expulsion from the committee roster. Members interested in attending a committee meeting without being a member of said committee should also reach out to the appropriate staff contact for information. To sign up for a committee, please complete the form at the bottom of the page.

Advocacy/Government Affairs Committee
The goal of the Advocacy/Government Affairs Committee is to identify and examine current and future pertinent issues affecting the operation and growth of the real estate industry in the five boroughs of New York, to provide counsel to the Board of Directors and keep the membership informed of developments, to advocate these issues on behalf of the organization with appropriate City and State officials and where appropriate, mobilize the membership to engage in grass roots advocacy activities; i.e., Cap Wiz, making personal phone calls to City, State and Federal elected officials, on-line petitions, etc.
