The Annual BOMA/NY Awards

Pinnacle Awards

blog-pic3-bigThe Pinnacles – the best of BOMA/NY, the best of our city. Each year these awards have increasingly come to symbolize what we do best – for our tenants, our clients and the City of New York at large.

And each year, within the BOMA International community, New York climbs the pinnacle with greater success as our local awardees win their categories at the local and international competitions.

Though we have been recognizing excellence through an awards process for for more than 4 decades, several years ago we pledged to raise New York’s awards profile on the Regional and International levels.

The result? Extraordinary! 57 Regional and 16 International winners!

We are more determined than ever to make New York the standard of excellence for our industry. We have a mentoring program and a peer review process to help our colleagues complete the awards process successfully and go on to represent New York on a global stage. Everything you need to compete is listed here. So good luck, do your best, and be part of one of the most successful winning streaks in BOMA history!

Each February, we celebrate the best of BOMA/NY and the spirit of our great city by presenting our Pinnacle Awards to the premiere buildings and people in the city. Competition for the coveted prizes is both fair and fierce, involving a comprehensive nomination and submission process.

All local winners are then entered into the national TOBY (The Outstanding Building of the Year) awards – first at the Regional level (the Mid-Atlantic Conference Regional Awards, covering 16 major cities from Boston to Washington, DC) and then at the North American level (BOMA International), including all of the US and Canada.

Regional winners are usually announced in March or April at the annual BOMA Mid-Atlantic Conference event, and the BOMA International winners are announced in June at the Association’s annual convention and trade show.

To compete in the Pinnacle Awards, the owner or management company of the nominated building must be a BOMA/NY member in good standing. All individuals competing for the Outstanding Local Member or Manager of the Year award must be a BOMA/NY  member of record in good standing.
